About the project:
Working as a Communications Associate through Helix Data Innovation, I focus on helping research teams like the Secure AI Assistants (SAIS) group translate their research findings into impactful content that is memorable. My work with SAIS involved creating a comprehensive communications strategy that placed them in the centre of industry conversations and engaged multiple audiences in their research on AI assistant security.
I developed and hosted a 4-part podcast series, "Always Listening: Can I Trust My AI Assistant?” designed to make their research accessible to wider interested publics and communicating the fascinating complexities of the AI ecosystem and how it is impacting our society. I created research-focused blogs, exploring their latest findings distilling them into actionable insights for the tech industry.
Beyond content creation, I managed SAIS’s social media strategy, coordinated outreach efforts, and assisted with events—all with the goal of fostering industry connections, educating people on the nuances ofAI and elevating the groups visibility and influence.
The SAIS research group address vital concerns around the privacy and security of AI assistants and includes researchers for Kings College London and Imperial College London. My work ensured their research engaged their industry partners and helped to open doors for collaboration.
