Science writing exploring the history and technology behind our food

Writing for online science magazine FoodUnfolded, part of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology.

Challenge: Engage a broad audience in the science, history and stories behind our food to create better understanding in nutrition and sustainability factors.

Secured one of a kind interview with a Nasa researcher and a collaboration with the Nasa brand.
High profile interview for their podcast series on an exciting subject with wide engagement. A collaboration with Nasa on their social channels.
Developed and produced the “Space Food Technology” series, including podcast and articles exploring the fascinating history and technology behind food in space.
Helped drive traffic to FoodUnfolded’s platform, boosting brand visibility and enabling better education and insight in their audience.
Pitched, researched, and authored articles covering topics: sustainable farming practices, food preservation technologies, and the science behind food expiry dates.
Increased awareness and engagement around complex food system challenges across a diverse, global audience interested in sustainability and nutrition.

About the project:

I wrote articles and podcasts that delve into the history, science, and technology behind the food we eat.

 

Through thorough research and science storytelling techniques my work communicated complex topics in food technology and sustainability to a broad audience, creating opportunities for education and conversation on the importance of sustainable food systems. The objective of FoodUnfolded magazine is to support parent organisation EIT Food’s mission of building a healthier and more sustainable food future.
